Wake Up Folks!

I can't believe it!
It's been a while since I've last written something for our blog, and what more can I say? I've missed it more than I can say! *laughs* I guess writing is really my passion. I'm just too lazy to admit it most of the time.

So, by now you must be wondering what's this post for, right? Well, I have nothing in particular to say except that--THIS IS A WAKE UP CALL guys and girls!

I admit that I have been very lax with my responsibilities here and there--especially with my commitments with God. Though I'm not the only one being such a bum, I don't exactly feel lifted by that thought. In fact, feel deeply troubled. Why, oh why, are we forgetting to work the work we have to do with God? Keeping in mind that we have just promised not long ago (just this summer, as I recall) that we will always have fire in our hearts after God.

What happened? Is this what we really want? WAKE UP FOLKS! This is God we're talking about! Is this how we honor our vows to God?

How can we ever change the world for the better if we can't get better? Think now.

35 Reasons Not to Sin

These are the things we should know by now. =)

• Because a little sin leads to more sin.
• Because my sin invites the discipline of God.
• Because the time spent in sin is forever wasted.
• Because my sin never pleases but always grieves God who loves me.
• Because my sin places a greater burden on my spiritual leaders.
• Because in time my sin always brings heaviness to my heart.
• Because I am doing what I do not have to do.
• Because my sin always makes me less than what I could be.

• Because my sin makes the enemies of God rejoice.
• Because sin deceives me into believing I have gained when in reality I have lost.

• Because the supposed benefits of my sin will never outweigh the consequences of disobedience.
• Because repenting of my sin is such a painful process, yet I must repent.
• Because sin is a very brief pleasure for an eternal loss.
• Because my sin may influence others to sin.
• Because my sin may keep others from knowing Christ.
• Because sin makes light of the cross, upon which Christ died for the very purpose of taking away my sin.
• Because it is impossible to sin and follow the Spirit at the same time.
• Because God chooses not to respect the prayers of those who cherish their sin.
• Because sin steals my reputation and robs me of my testimony.
• Because others once more earnest than I have been destroyed by just such sins.
• Because the inhabitants of heaven and hell would all testify to the foolishness of this sin.
• Because sin and guilt may harm both mind and body.
• Because sins mixed with service make the things of God tasteless.
• Because suffering for sin has no joy or reward, though suffering for righteousness has both.
• Because my sin is adultery with the world.
• Because, though forgiven, I will review this very sin at the Judgment Seat where loss and gain of eternal rewards are applied.
• Because I can never really know ahead of time just how severe the discipline for my sin might be.
• Because my sin may be an indication of a lost condition.
• Because to sin is not to love Christ.
• Because my unwillingness to reject this sin now grants it an authority over me greater than I wish to believe.
• Because sin glorifies God only in His judgment of it and His turning of it to good use, never because it is worth anything on it’s own.
• Because I promised God he would be Lord of my life.

Sometimes we think we are too weak to do some things and are incapable to do what is expected of us. Oftentimes, we are lead by “di ko kaya” or “imposible yan” mentality. But come to think of it, God often choose and use this kind of people. We can see in the Old Testament how the Lord used Moses, who was ineloquent but was called to lead the Israelites for 40 years; Abraham, who was too old but became the father of all nations; Joseph, who was abused but eventually became a ruler; Caleb who was already 85 but was able to reach his Promised Land; and Gideon, who was afraid and thought of himself as the least BUT God used Him to deliver His people from the Midianites; and etc., etc. hehe.. Who knows, you’re next? ^^,

Many things may seem impossible for us but what is impossible with men, is possible with God. No more reasons to say “Di ko kaya yan” or “Imposible na!”. Do not lose heart, for God is our Helper and we can do all things through Him. :)

Remember, the command is to BE STRONG and COURAGEOUS! Be positive in life and do not be easily discouraged by your weaknesses.

Above all, always trust God, our Helper, and you can do amazing difficult things; win great battles of great enemies; possess your promised land; and follow God wholeheartedly. :)

whhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELLFFF!! i wanna SHOUT!! pde dito??? ehe!!
well.. grabe! I just met a great trial along the way and just got burned out! parang nsunog ako sa grabeng trial na un!

just wanna share my experience prior to that big event,,

Lub-Dub-Lub-Dub!
i can hear my heart beat! i guess more than normal beat per minute,,
Shocks!
I have no option..
gusto kong bumalik sa nkaraan..{wow! lalim..}
sad to say,,, all i can do is to face this trial with great faith and conviction ..

I took the Nursing Licensure Examination last june 6 and 7 2009, and i have no idea watsoever on wat might going to happen,,
i worry bout my future, the pressure in my heart and brain..aww,, i just cant handle, literally, parang sasabog ung makapal na muscle ng heart ko. (pero auko pakita na nhhrapan ako).

day before the exam, we attended a mass at Christ the KIng Church @ Manila. wala lang,, i know it's usual knowing that i'm studyng in a catholic School,,
But as I enter the Church,, I can feel the presence of the Lord. my heart pumps stronger and my tears rolled down to my cheek. Grabe.!

the priest helped us reach the presence of the Almighty God when he started preaching. he told us that no mtter wat might happen.. It's the will of God,, after all, HE only wants the BEST for us,,

And as far as i can remember,, nevr did He Left me alone, di pa NIYA ko iniwan sa ere. never pa NIYA akong ipinaubaya sa iba.. He is more than a Friend or even Bestfriend..! Grabe Siya! sOlid! My Rock!

And now,, As i face the great agony of waiting.. God,, bless me with patience and courage to face wat is to come.
It is YOUR will and I entrust to You my life..
His promises are True and is always BEST for me and you!

Expect The Unexpected

God has been dealing with my "people pleaser" attitude since last month. There are a lot of incidents that tested me -- one even made me cry, but thank God! He still forgave me and I really learned from it! (O well, back to main topic) Ever since childhood I've been trained not to offend anybody, I'm bothered everytime someone is angry or mad at me and to cope up with that I see to it that I please everybody. I thought all along that what I'm doing is right, until I realized that I'm pleasing other people just to spare myself from humiliation. I never wanted to place myself in an awkward situation because I might be shamed. I'm a church kid and yet it seems that it is just now that I'm really born again. More than 18 years of my life was been spent uplifting myself; but now, I feel like that I'm born again 'again'. God taught me how to be a 'GOD pleaser' rather than 'people pleaser' through my experiences and devotions.

Just this week, Monday my revelation was on Joshua 1:7 'Be strong and courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left that you may be successful wherever you go.' I believe that God is telling me to be strong and courageous in winning the lost and consolidating them. And the application I wrote on my journal was... "I'll be courageous!! I'll start a bible study in our dorm" but those words just stayed in my journal, I never did anything that day and even the following day. I didn't took the courage and initiative to ask my friends if they're free and if they can have fellowship with me -- I've been deceived that they're busy and they won't have time for that! I even thought that they may find 'me' weird. BUT I believe that God has a plan because my devotion last Wednesday was unusual (I felt that God is 'literally' speaking to me) and its written on Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." I was really shocked when I read that and I remembered my devotion last Monday, it's almost the same, but this time God is 'reminding' me to obey His command. And right after I finished my devotion, I immediately texted my friends and to my surprise most of them agreed!! God really moves!!

After class, I prepared for our fellowship, I bought food even if it is out of my budget. Though I spent a lot this week, I'm once again surprised that I still have a lot of extra money, beyond what I expected!! It's God's grace and miracle I believe :D

During our fellowship, I was really glad that they were very receptive and participative! One of them (attended our cg last summer, I taught her how to do her devotion) even shared how much she enjoys her devotion which encouraged the others to do the same. After our fellowship one of my friend texted me that she just finished doing her first devotion and she felt light and glad! I'm really amazed!! God will really help us whenever He commanded us to do something. They even asked me to inform them early next week so that they can fix their schedule. (We planned to have our cellgroup every week! God is at work in ourlives :D) One of them even asked me if she can bring her friend over!! I was really amazed with their response!! :)

God proved to me and made me realized that I musn't worry about what other people may think of me. Others may find me weird, others may find it boring, but if we'll entrust everything up to Him, if we'll obey His commands, If we'll die to our flesh and forget all the humiliation... HE will surely BLESS US for He was pleased with our OBEDIENCE. :D

Let us not be deceived by the ENEMY!!! God can remove all hindrances just like what HE did in the Red Sea and Jordan River for us to achieve our promise land. If God is leading us towards our multitude, let's fight and win this battle!! For our Lord will be with us wherever we'll go!!

I encourage each and everyone to start reading and applying God's word for you will surely feel a different kind of gladness and blessings will just pour down on you unexpectedly. Let's conquer this BATTLE!! LET'S PLEASE GOD and EXPECT the UNEXPECTED! :) God bless!!

A Sweet Answer for a Sweet Soul

Just today as the Sunday celebration was about to start, I was waiting for brethren at the door... a sweet girl came to me and gave me her respect and hugs. I asked her about the text message she sent thru my daughter's cellphone....how her family was doing...with tears in her eyes, she said to me, "Nanay, I don't see that as a big problem...coz I know that my God is bigger than whatever trial we faces this time." I was so blest with her faith coz this morning, before I left home, my thoughts were so preoccupied with all the cares of this life...my children's "baon" for the whole week, our monthly dues...the people that needs to be visited and ministered this week....my mind was so bugged with all the cares of this life that I forgot to realize the very reason I was in the church--- that is TO WORSHIP AND GIVE TO GOD ALL THE HONOR AND GLORY HE SHOULD RECEIVE. As I was worshipping, my heart was crying as I saw that sweet girl dance to her heart's joy and worship God with all her might setting aside whatever problems they faces in their family. At the end of the worship service, all I uttered to God is to bless the prayer of that sweet girl and bless her heart for her worship is more pleasing with what I was offering God then....

Sometimes, God checks our lives with the lives of others and makes us focus less on our needs but on the needs of others who are needing much our prayer supports. Let us not fix our eyes on the things of this world, but on the things that matters most....that is living more and loving more the people of God.

Just always trust and believe =)

“Grow Up!”

Anyone who lives in milk is still a baby. That person does not want to learn about living a godly life. Solid food is for those who are grown up. They have trained themselves with a lot of practice. They can tell the difference between good and evil.

(Hebrews 5:13 – 14)

Do you want to grow up and eat the right food?

When you are a very small baby, you drank only milk.

When you grew teeth, you began to eat crackers and baby food. And now that you are big, you can eat almost everything!

In the Christian faith, there are those who are called the “baby Christians.” They are the ones who’re just starting to learn about Jesus and the Bible. They drink “milk”.

They are the ones who try to learn everything they can about Jesus by being fed and monitored by their mentors. They try to practice in doing what is right in the sight of the Lord. By doing so, they grow to be big, and strong Christians!

Then, there are those Christians who are more grown up than others. They know a lot about Jesus. They practice obeying Him. And they can lead for the Lord. They are the ones who eat “solid food”.

They are those who seek God and ask more of Him, but they don’t rely heavily on others anymore to feed them the Word. They seek the Lord by standing on their own two feet.

Now, Ask Yourself: What if after many years of being a member in a Christian Church, you’re still one of the baby Christians who want spoon-feeding when it comes to the ways of the Lord? What are you going to feel? Will you be happy in watching kids grow in their spiritual lives faster than you do? Does it bother you at all?

Or you will simply say, “Okay lang ‘yan magiging leader din naman ako pag katapos ng ilang taon—pag handa na ‘ko” without exerting any effort at all? Without showing any passion at all? When will you ever be ready?

Or

Will you ask yourself, “What happened? Bakit nandito palang ako hanggang ngayon? Bakit hindi ako naggo-grow sa aking Christian life?” and proceed in finding out what is wrong, why is it that after many years of being a Christian you are still a baby in your faith? Will you even seek the answers to your questions? Will you leave your comfort zone behind and advance to the next level that God has prepared for your long time ago? Will you ever intend to GROW UP?

“Are you willing to take the challenge and leave your comfort zone behind to take that one big step forward to seek the promises of God in your life?”

GROW UP. GROW UP. AND LET GOD REIGN IN YOUR LIFE.

'MOVE peopLe. MOVE.

'do you have any idea how valuable and important you are?

to the people you care, to the people around you?

to yourself?

to God?

maybe you haven't learned your own importance now?

or maybe you were too blind to see how important you are?

and how important you can be?

well. according to Merriam Webster dictionary:

IMPORTANCE means a quality or aspect having great worth or significance.

so if something is of importance, you value. you acknowledge.

you recognize. you show it's worth. you honor. you appreciate.

first. the people around you most especially your family:

to be honest with you,

though they were not able to say that

you are loved, you are important, you are a blessing,

they do feel it and take note: they want you to realize it.

believe me, it's true.(experience'wise. ^^)

your church brothers and sisters. they are your friends.

they consider you as TRUE sis and bros.

you can approach them. you can laugh with them.

cry on their shoulders (we desire for it. a lot.)

everyone is ready to hear what you feel.

because for one main reason: YOU ARE IMPORTANT.

undoubtedly, God loves you, Jesus showed it in the cross.

He died on the cross for you (John 3.16)to save you,

He sacrificed every pain. every shame. everything has been done

for you. because He cares. He loves. He wants you to know you are

very. very. very important.

He created you. and planned for your entire life here on earth.

even before you were born, God decided everything for you.

He knit you together in your mother's womb.(Psalm 139.13

that's because of one thing: HE KNOWS YOU ARE IMPORTANT.

acknowledging His powers on your life

is showing that you value what is given to you.

your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1Cor 6.19).

the sanctuary. the habitat.

you are not your own.

respect. show importance to your self.

because God dwells in you.

you may thought that

this composition is letting you know that you are valued.

loved. cared for. you are important.

but. just so you know.

this includes more than what you think it is.

this is more of being the person who is to show every people they are important.

to you, their family, friends and most especially

to God.

Learn and understand that it's good and nice to receive blessings

but wouldn't it be better to be that blessing to someone?

may this serve as a challenge

for you to have the initiative to show people they are important.

because you are.
