S O L D I E R by Patricia Smith

In the natural; according to the world, a soldier is a person appointed to hold position on the battlefield. Taught and trained to perform both life and death. In the spiritual realm, a soldier is a spiritual warrior, a person who must hold position, while awaiting further direction. A person of character, who must maintain an attitude of win at all costs. Understanding that this person is going to encounter the enemy head on. Yet a soldier is able to perceive the actions of the enemy and plan ahead through prayer and supplication. To persevere even when the ground turns into mud and the steps one takes seem to lead to no where.

The soldier must march on, step by step, knowing that the enemy has a snare, a net, and a trap set for them, knowing that the enemies job is to kill him, steal all that he is, and to destroy him. The soldier is a chosen person, one who is able to stand and having done all to stand. There is nothing else for the soldier to do until the next change to charge is commanded. He must be able to suffer unwanted and undeserved pain, pain that will cause him to fall sometimes, yet the soldier knows that if he doesn't get up and keep fighting, its all over.

The soldier also must persevere when he is constantly being challenged by obstacles, the soldier must be able to observe, estimate and eliminate all avenues of escape before continuing on the march to home base. They must run, duck, ram, nudge, and fight their way through the attacks of the enemy, without hesitation. The soldier is armed with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, thus making him able to accomplish all that has been set before him.

The soldier is to complete the mission, encounter and overcome all obstacles and distractions, while keeping focus on the goal, total and complete annihilation of the devices of the enemy. With each objective completed, raises the soldier to another level of battle, with greater challenges and new unknown territories that he must traverse, in order to get to the new level of conflict, thus increasing his strength and perseverance.

The soldier knows that the aim has been reached when he arrives and receives word that the enemy has been obliterated. This is the life of a soldier in the Army of THE LORD, for GOD he will live and for GOD will he die.

A Sweet Answer for a Sweet Soul

Just today as the Sunday celebration was about to start, I was waiting for brethren at the door... a sweet girl came to me and gave me her respect and hugs. I asked her about the text message she sent thru my daughter's cellphone....how her family was doing...with tears in her eyes, she said to me, "Nanay, I don't see that as a big problem...coz I know that my God is bigger than whatever trial we faces this time." I was so blest with her faith coz this morning, before I left home, my thoughts were so preoccupied with all the cares of this life...my children's "baon" for the whole week, our monthly dues...the people that needs to be visited and ministered this week....my mind was so bugged with all the cares of this life that I forgot to realize the very reason I was in the church--- that is TO WORSHIP AND GIVE TO GOD ALL THE HONOR AND GLORY HE SHOULD RECEIVE. As I was worshipping, my heart was crying as I saw that sweet girl dance to her heart's joy and worship God with all her might setting aside whatever problems they faces in their family. At the end of the worship service, all I uttered to God is to bless the prayer of that sweet girl and bless her heart for her worship is more pleasing with what I was offering God then....

Sometimes, God checks our lives with the lives of others and makes us focus less on our needs but on the needs of others who are needing much our prayer supports. Let us not fix our eyes on the things of this world, but on the things that matters most....that is living more and loving more the people of God.

"Citizens of Heaven"

Christians are far distinguished from other men;
Little did others know: The Holy Spirit speaks in them.
Christians are different in a way others should understand
not because the language they employ nor through traditions
they observe. For they do not live in the city of their own
Or live out of individuality. And yes, they are in the flesh;
But they do not live to satisfy the desires of their flesh.
They pass their days here on earth, but they are
Citizens of Heaven. And people can have all the things
in this world can offer, But Christians know, these things doesn't
really matter.
One day, the sun will forget to shine;
And the world will melt like a snow.
But what matters most is what is eternal.
After all Christians are far distinguished from other men;
Little did others knows the HOLY SPIRIT is in them.

A Role to Play

According to Miles Monroe, an anointed speaker and writer, an average person has 500-700 potentials. Ngayon naman 7 frames of intelligence. Kung may 700 potentials divided by 7 intelligence is equal to ... (carry 1, borrow 4, remainder 3, haha) tama 100. An ability is in fact a combination of 2 or more intelligence, pero meron isa doon na dominant. Kaya let us assume na may 100 abilities bawat category (pero di ko naman ililista yung 100, mga ilan lang, dami noon eh, hehehe…) and let us try to use them as a guide para makita mga potential natin at paano natin magagamit para sa ministry sa church.

Musical Intelligence

Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence

Ang mga abilitad na ito ay tumutukoy sa mahusay na pagkontrol ng katawan tulad ng mga atleta at mga sumasayaw (dancer sa pnw team), but more than that these people are also good in fixing things, mime and acting and even cooking.

Spatial Intelligence

These people with strength in spatial intelligence think in images and pictures. Oo meron! may promo team tayo.

Nadedeliver nila ng maayos ang mga thoughts, ideas, opinions nila ng maayos through writing and even through speaking.

Intrapersonal Intelligence

Pero sabi nga “leaders are not born, they are made” at lahat tayo soul winners at consolidators. – we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength (Philippians 4:13) Madalas kung sino ang mga mahiyain sila ang ginagamit ng Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 “…He chose the lowly things of this world… …so that no one may boast….”

1 Corinthians 12:14-19. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.

We belong to one body, the body of Christ and we have a role to play, let that potentials become abilities and use them for the glory of God. Kaya praise God kung meron ka ng ministry! pero kung wala pa just approach the Ministry Heads.

God bless you!!!

“Grow Up!”

Anyone who lives in milk is still a baby. That person does not want to learn about living a godly life. Solid food is for those who are grown up. They have trained themselves with a lot of practice. They can tell the difference between good and evil.

(Hebrews 5:13 – 14)

Do you want to grow up and eat the right food?

When you are a very small baby, you drank only milk.

When you grew teeth, you began to eat crackers and baby food. And now that you are big, you can eat almost everything!

In the Christian faith, there are those who are called the “baby Christians.” They are the ones who’re just starting to learn about Jesus and the Bible. They drink “milk”.

They are the ones who try to learn everything they can about Jesus by being fed and monitored by their mentors. They try to practice in doing what is right in the sight of the Lord. By doing so, they grow to be big, and strong Christians!

Then, there are those Christians who are more grown up than others. They know a lot about Jesus. They practice obeying Him. And they can lead for the Lord. They are the ones who eat “solid food”.

They are those who seek God and ask more of Him, but they don’t rely heavily on others anymore to feed them the Word. They seek the Lord by standing on their own two feet.

Now, Ask Yourself: What if after many years of being a member in a Christian Church, you’re still one of the baby Christians who want spoon-feeding when it comes to the ways of the Lord? What are you going to feel? Will you be happy in watching kids grow in their spiritual lives faster than you do? Does it bother you at all?

Or you will simply say, “Okay lang ‘yan magiging leader din naman ako pag katapos ng ilang taon—pag handa na ‘ko” without exerting any effort at all? Without showing any passion at all? When will you ever be ready?

Or

Will you ask yourself, “What happened? Bakit nandito palang ako hanggang ngayon? Bakit hindi ako naggo-grow sa aking Christian life?” and proceed in finding out what is wrong, why is it that after many years of being a Christian you are still a baby in your faith? Will you even seek the answers to your questions? Will you leave your comfort zone behind and advance to the next level that God has prepared for your long time ago? Will you ever intend to GROW UP?

“Are you willing to take the challenge and leave your comfort zone behind to take that one big step forward to seek the promises of God in your life?”

GROW UP. GROW UP. AND LET GOD REIGN IN YOUR LIFE.

"Work is God's way and provision to prosperity"

Workers earn their food.
But you gain your food by working. Kahit sa ating pamilya, kung hindi pa kayo gain-fully employed, you earn your food by working.Tumtulong kayong magluto, magligpit, maglinis, mag contribute to the productive efforts of the family.
Sabi nga sa Canaan Farm "Do not eat to eat but eat to work!".2thess3:10, For even we were with you we gave you this rule"If a man will not work, he shall not eat". Workers rean their keep ang their wages through work.
So,you want to earn your keep? Then work! And when you work, you deserve your keep.Luke10:7 say's, "For the workers deserves his wages." Mayroong wages, even allowances kaya kailangan meron di kayong contribution sa bahay.

Hello GuyZ!!!Actually, this article was really written by Pastor Ed Lapiz(Ginatungan ko lang ng konti ehehe)

I hope you enjoy reading my post.May this message inspire you!!

BE A FRUITFUL CHRISTIAN! ^^,)

FRUITFULNESS
Main text:
John 15:8
“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples”
John 15:16
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”
WHO WANTS TO BE A FRUITFUL CHRISTIAN?
I believe that EVERY TRUE DISCIPLE OF JESUS wants to be fruitful.
Are you one of them? If you are, you are blessed! Because the Father will give you whatever you ask in His name.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO BECOME FRUITFUL?
The most effective answer there is the word “CHANGE”.
Three things that you should change:
1. Change your MINDSET – Always think in a positive way, and believe that you can do it, and by faith you will be fruitful. And always put into your minds these four things:
> You are designed to be fruitful.
> You are expected to be fruitful.
> You are called to be fruitful.
> God mandated you to be fruitful.

2. Change your ATTITUDE – It is very important to start changing your attitude before anything else. Do you think you’ll be a fruitful Christian if you still have negative attitude? Check and Fix yourself! ^_^~

*Some wrong attitudes TOWARDS THE LOST that needs to be change are:
a. FEAR
-“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”
b. UNCONCERNED
-“walang paki-alam” in Filipino. Simply they’re not thinking about their lost conditions of without real peace, joy, etc. And external punishment in hell FOREVER.
c. INCOMPLETE FAITHFULNESS

- The key for Fruitfulness is TRUE Faithfulness. As I’ve said, we need a lot of faith to be fruitful.
*FOR THE LOST, he/she must Show GOOD TESTIMONIES. (Compromisers are harmful in the kingdom) --- Testimonies have a big impact in other’s lives. It may be an inspiration for them, or a lesson for them. ^^,

3. CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULE-
Each of us has his own schedule. We normally prioritize the things that are important for us. And for us Christians, I guess God is number one in our list. Ayt? So we must INTEGRATE time for our process – trainings in soul winning. CHOOSE to make Jesus the Lord of our time. We’ll be fruitful when Jesus is the Lord of our time and our priorities.
“CHANGE!!! Fruitfulness Glorifies the Father.”

Thank you for reading. Signing off...
Godbless you all!

SHELLS on the SAND

Sometimes, I do remember the times when I’ve always thought of myself as invincible—incapable of being hurt or touched by anything. And I do always joke about not having a heart. Because having no heart means not having to cry at all. Or so I thought.

Until I realized that every time I think those things, I was at my most vulnerable. In those times, I’m really crying the most. But no one—not even myself—sees those tears. Tears that most people shed when they are sad, or hurt, or angry. Tears that I refuse to shed even if I have to swear it to my last dying breath. The tears of a confused, hurt, rejected, and afraid child inside the mind and body of a young adult.

I never talk to anyone. Well, not about what I truly feel anyway. It hurts me deeply when I talk about myself. It feels like I’m reaping something from myself and pulverizing that part into pieces. There were times, of course, when I really wanted to talk myself out to someone, and yet when those times comes, all I can do is either joke about it, or I would talk in a very slow and runabout manner that the person I’m talking to would be bored to death already by the time I’m really ready to talk. I guess I must be really selfish in a silent way.

I value everything dear to me too much. Too much, that I often choose not to talk about them anymore because doing so makes me feel so naked. Of course, there have been those people who almost succeeded in unlocking the secrets inside my heart…but then, those people ended up losing their interest in what I have to say, or just plain lose interest in me at all. I’ve always—always—pretended that their inattention didn’t cost me a thing since that’s what I’ve wanted to do from the start. Leave me alone.

But in reality, being rejected that way, again and again and again, really really broke my heart. But they’ve never seen that in my face. I was always Ms. Cool. The Ice Queen. The Woman With No Heart. I guess I’ve never yet seen someone who could really see through my looking glass.

There have been people. People, who would sometimes astound me because they can somehow guess what I really feel about a certain moment, like my mom and siblings sometimes do. And I do feel they mean to want to hear me out, but then, of course, because of my selfishness, I fail again and again to comply. Until such time that they can only guess, but never understand why.

I always talk to God about this. Sometimes, I think that maybe God is also getting bored of my crying again and again and yet I do nothing to stop this suppression of my true self. But He always understands. And most of the time, I also cry about His understanding of me because I’m ashamed and I want to chastise myself for having such petty self-pity when I only have to look around me and see people with greater afflictions than my self-imposed imprisonment. How can I pity myself when I’m so much blessed than these people who have virtually nothing and God is giving me all?!

Until now, I still can’t understand why. And often, I tend to ask the Father in Heaven if He could please send me a person who can really understand me? Someone who can understand that when I talk, I feel alone. When I smile, I feel like breaking down inside. When I don’t want to talk about myself, I really want them to listen to me even for just a short while. Listen like I listen when they talk about their fears and sadness and happiness and loves and anger. Someone who can understand my weird sentence patterns and not look at me like I’m nuts. Someone who can listen and understand what I don’t say and realize the reasons I have for doing or not doing some things. A person who can understand that I want to be like other people who are vocal and communicative. A person who can love me with all my flaws and insecurities—a person whom I can really hate and love at the same time.

But I guess my heart is not yet ready, still. For even with all of my iniquities and doubts, I am still, but a little girl, old beyond her age, yet still a girl masquerading in a knight’s armor. A mind beyond her years, yet still the selfish baby always wanting all the attention she can get.

I may be a silent, pretending fool—but if a fool I must be to be humble enough to earn my King’s favor, I will be. Let my pity to myself come to cease. Maybe then, then, I will truly live.

"IT'S YOUR CHOICE"

- Romans 12:2

"IT'S YOUR CHOICE". "it's your choice".
"It's your choice".

At lagi nating tatandaan na "IT'S OUR CHOICE" kung anu ang mga bagay na nang yayari sa ating buhay. Kung nararamdaman mo na sinusubok kana ng kaaway just PRAY at huwag mo siyang Pansinin, dahil wala siyang magagawa IT’S YOUR CHOICE diba (hahaha) =) . “JUST ALWAYS LEAN ON HIM (TO GOD) AND ALWAYS HAVE GOD AS THE CENTER OF YOUR ----- OUR LIVES”. =)

– Philippians 4:8

Alvin Bucles=)

GOD BLESS..=)
