Text: Romans 8:14
"Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

Introduction

*God's children are given the Holy Spirit
Rom 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the
Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not
have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
*One evidence that you are a child of God and you belong to Christ is the
presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
*The Holy Spirit is given to lead you to do the will of God.

THE 3 MOST SIGNIFICANT LEADINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD OF GOD.

1. Transformation into Christlikeness

The Holy Spirit leads and empowers you to be transformed into Chrislikeness

Rom 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to
the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many
brothers.

Rom 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to
test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

*The Holy Spirit transforms you by empowering you to crucify the sinful
nature. But you need to decide to crucify the flesh . You need to give
the control of your life-mind,emotion and will. You need to fully
surrender your will to Him.

CRUCIFY THE SINFUL NATURE DAILY

Gal 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful
nature with its passions and desires.
Luk 9:23 Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me,
he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but
Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by
faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Christlikeness can only be achieved by crucifying the sinful nature
daily. The victories Christ achieved can only be achieved by crucifying
the sinful nature.Sufferings through trials and testings become easy
to handle when flesh is crucifed. Pressures can be withstood and
overcome when flesh is crucified.

The victories against demonic attacks and traps can only be yours when your flesh is crucified.Satan can do whatever he wants to do by the limit God allows him but you'll always be
victorious when your sinful nature is crucified. Satan tickles the flesh for you to remove the nails and live again.

Rom 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by
the Spirit is life and peace;

Luk 22:42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me;
yet not my will, but yours be done."

2. Expansion of God's kingdom

The Holy Spirit leads and empowers you to expand God's kingdom.

Luk 4:43 But he said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of
God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent."
Luk 9:60 Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but
you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."
This is well known as Jesus's Great Commission
Mat 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit,

Great Commission says 2 things to do-

1.Win souls- Jesus wants you to win souls.
Have you won lately? How many have you brought to your
Guest Night?
2.Make disciples- Jesus wants you to make and have disciples to learn
and immitate the Lord Jesus.


3.Intercession for God to move

The Holy Spirit leads and empowers you to pray.
God can only and will only move when you pray.
Prayer is giving God permission to move and intervene.
Without prayer , God cannot move,
The Holy Spirit leads and touches a child of God to pray that God may move

Rom 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not
know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself
intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

Rom 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with
God's will.

Zec 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication.

NLT "Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the
family of David and on all the people of Jerusalem.

TMSG- PRAYER TO RECOGNIZE JESUS AS THE ONLY SAVIOR

Zec 12:10 "Next I'll deal with the family of David and those who live in
Jerusalem. I'll pour a spirit of grace and prayer over them.
They'll then be able to recognize me as the One they so
grievously wounded--that piercing spear-thrust! And they'll
weep--oh, how they'll weep! Deep mourning as of a parent
grieving the loss of the firstborn child.

God can only change things in your life that you pray about.
God can only change wrong and bad attitude, behavior, habit and speech
in your life when you pray to God to remove them.
God can only change you and me when we pray to God the specific things
in us that need
God's children who are sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit
recognizes the importance of praying and they pray a lot. They love to
pray and they love to pray with others esp prayer gatherings such as
dawnwatch.

CONCLUSION

Follow the leading of thre Holy Spirit and you'll be used mightily by our
God to transform the Philippines and this world.
